Cheese & Zaatar Pretzels
A combination of German, Lebanese and Italian pastries all in one!
- 3 Sheets Puff Pastry
- 1 Egg Beaten
- 2 Cups Shredded Cheese
- ½ Cup Zaatar
- 2 Tbsp Poppy Seeds
- 2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
- Cut the pastry sheets in half and sprinkle cheese along the pastry. Then sprinkle the zaatar over the cheese. Measurements are to your preference.
- Start rolling tightly and form the shape of a pretzel. Brush on the egg wash and sprinkle with poppy and sesame seeds.
- Place on a baking paper lined tray and bake at 180°C (356°F) for approximately 10 mins or till golden.
