Cheese & Zaatar Pretzels
A combination of German, Lebanese and Italian pastries all in one!
- 3 Sheets Puff Pastry
- 1 Egg Beaten
- 2 Cups Shredded Cheese
- ½ Cup Zaatar
- 2 Tbsp Poppy Seeds
- 2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
Cut the pastry sheets in half and sprinkle cheese along the pastry. Then sprinkle the zaatar over the cheese. Measurements are to your preference.
Start rolling tightly and form the shape of a pretzel. Brush on the egg wash and sprinkle with poppy and sesame seeds.
Place on a baking paper lined tray and bake at 180°C (356°F) for approximately 10 mins or till golden.
